In Sanskrit, Vinyasa means to place with awareness or sequence in an intelligent way. At Avaachi Guna, we design our classes around peak postures and themes with an emphasis on breath linked movement as a way to find space, strength and presence.

Thursday 7:30pm

Hatha is a practice involving postures, breath work and meditation. It`s fairly gentle with less constant flow and a greater focus on stability and alignment. Particularly good for beginners or students wishing to refine the integrity in their practice.

Yin yoga is a stilling practice that cultivates a deep sense of awareness through the release of mind and body stresses. An antidote to city life, the focus is on releasing the connective tissues or tendons, ligaments and fascia. Poses are held for longer to allow the body and mind to melt into a place of deep relaxation.

Pregnancy yoga session

Wednesday 6:00pm (coming soon)

Pregnancy yoga is for women passed their first 14 weeks of pregnancy who are looking for an amazing tool to carry through their body`s transformation. The class is designed to create space, calm the system and prepare the body for the birth of baby. It`s also a great opportunity to connect with your growing baby and other mums-to-be.

Postnatal yoga is for women who are 6 weeks post birth. It's designed to rebuild strength from the inside and give brand new mamas something in their week that's just for them. At Avaachi Guna we know only too well the physical and emotional demands all new mums face and our class is there to heal body and mind in the best way possible.
